Many people these days just don't know how to do simple home repairs, such as leaky faucets, minor mechanical repairs, etc. A lot of single woman or elderly will gladly pay a knowledgible individual a reasonable hourly rate in order to avoid the costly repairs (and time wasted waiting!) for a plumber or other repair company.
