I've heard that you can make some money on DeviantArt selling prints if your work is good. Large audience, haven't tried it yet. I think the important thing is to advertise EVERYWHERE.

It depends what kinds of markets you have near you, there are flea markets, then there are arts and craft markets, the latter might work well, but if its the type of market were people are just selling their old junk, then I probably wouldn't bother. You could try approaching local shops and restaurants, and ask them if they would be interested hanging any of your work, with a small price tag on it, maybe give them a small commission when they sell. Or just sell them off your own website. I have seen a few artists that just sell directly through their own websites, and spend their time getting publicity through newspaper and magazine articles.... Just some ideas, good luck with it.

I'm an student/artist and I want to sell my work for a little extra cash. My only question is WHERE? At this point, my work is not gallery ready (quantaty and quality) but it is good enough for individual buyer to purchise. Would a flea market be the ideal location for selling my work, and how do I get started selling at a market like that?
