If you are able to answer a few simple questions and fill in some details, then you can earn a nice income from taking online surveys and helping companies with their market research. Some will pay you a small amount every time you fill out a survey, while others use more of a sweepstakes approach, and offer cash and prize draws to those who fill out their surveys.
There are plenty of sites which will alert you to the best opportunities and send you surveys whenever they become available, and you can sign up to many of them for free. Some of them will be more relevant to others depending on what country you are in; all you need to do to find the best sites is type in “paid surveys online” into any major search engine. Don’t forget the quotes, as they will help you to find that exact phrase in the results.
Don’t join too many sites at once otherwise you risk becoming inundated with emails – it’s best to start with the two or three most popular ones in your country. This doesn’t mean you won’t get the opportunity to do surveys for companies in other countries but you do tend to get more input into your national ones.
What normally happens is this – once you’ve joined you will need to fill out your profile with as much information as you can. This will help the site in deciding which surveys to send to whom. Make sure you set up a new email account purely for use with your survey sites, since you will be liable to getting lots of emails to plough through and you don’t want them all going into your normal accounts.

Once you’re all set up and ready to go you’ll need to keep on top of that email account, since each survey may only need to be answered by a set number of people and they often send it to more than is needed to make sure they get enough replies. The sooner you can complete each one and send it back the better – and the faster your money will mount up too.
The questionnaires are just as easy to fill in. You might be asked questions about a specific product; a type or genre of product; which companies you recognize and which ones you don’t; and you may even get to give your input and opinions on products which haven’t been released for sale yet.
The amount you will receive for each survey or market research exercise varies between sites and countries, but it is reasonable given the amount of time each one will take you. One site pays between $4 and $50 which is about average, although most will be at the lower end of the scale.
Over time taking part in paid online surveys and questionnaires can add up to a nice part time income for very little effort.

I’ve been doing survyes for about a year and a half now and have actually cashed out almost $1000. I’ve also received tons of products to try from various companies. It’s great to give out my opinions and get a little spending money in return. I never get spam because I sign up for the marketing sites individually, after having read all of their policies. I have been taking surveys for a site I truly believe in because I have never gotten spam, they send lots of products such as diapers, dog food, shampoo & conditioner, body soaps, vitamins, etc. as well as conduct short surveys that actually pay. Its true surveys are a way to make money but so is recycling pop cans. It really should be doing surveys can help give you some pocket change the way they have it saying a way to make money makes you think a decent cash flow and this is really not the case. I would say it would be best for kids who live at home and want to buy some candy at the store so they do a few surveys over the week to pay for it.

I like surveys as a way of making money except there are not enough out there to really do much. Another thing is when you take surveys the time you spend is usually to much for the pay. Great post on surveys online and I had to learn about joining surveys the hard way. I joined most free survey sites at one time and it is hard trying to make money from them. I suggest joining one survey site and pay attention to making money from that site and once you do then join another. From my experience, I suggest you take your time and find out what works best.

Most, if not all, survey sites will only let you cash out your account if the account balance has reached the site’s minimum balance required for cashing out, which is often in the double-digit range. One huge problem, you can never reach that amount without buying the products and/or the services.
So, there is always a catch in these surveys, and there is no free lunch even though you may think giving them 15 minutes of your time to fill out the survey is giving something.

I am member in some of the survey making sites like globaltestmarket, survey savy, etc. What i felt is that these survey websites are mostly for US, UK, Canada users only and only people in those countries make more money. As far as other international countries are concerned, they can only make little money form survey sites. Because these survey sites concentrate on US, UK, Canadian user only.

I have made a few bucks filling out surveys on the internet over the years. Some are pretty interesting too. I like the ones about new products. Some even let you preview commercial concepts before they air. Most just ask a few questions about your opinions or spending habits.
