These companies do not pay their members for all of the traffic and the advertising revenue that they generate. This is why PeopleString has exploded onto the scene in less than a year to being ranked in the top 1500 on the Alexa.com ranking. PeopleString is a social network that pays you and shares 70% of the advertising revenue with its members. You literally make money simply by using the website."
