If you love to write, have a very creative mind,or happen to be knowledgeable in a specific area. I would definitely recommend writing as a way to earn extra money. I only played around with writing articles to see if I could actually get paid. So far I have been paid by Squidoo. Even though, it is not anything to brag about. Nonetheless I still got paid for doing something that took very little effort. If anyone wants to read my review or see my payment proof feel free to check out my blog. Some places that I know you can get paid to write articles include again Squidoo, Ehow, Bukisa, Associated Content, and Hubpages.

I started out online by writing content for other marketers. This is a great article and a great start, but you are right, making contacts to get those initial contracts is one of the hardest parts.

Luckily for me, I was on a number of webmaster forums at the time, and put a link in my signature file back to a small website where I advertised my services. I also got a Twitter account (this was back in the day when it wasn’t full of spammers) and I followed/networked with webmasters from the forums I was on.

It was a great way to get started and I landed a nice $500 a month contract in my first couple of weeks.

And i say that, i am going to be a famous writer one day, i dont know how long it will take, but there will be a day which is belong too me… Dont get amazed when you see me there…also dont call me a dreaming fool… Because no one is born great… But they became…the distance between ‘least’ to ‘great’ is hardwork..and aim…an idea can change our life….

Writing articles are either a means to an end to promote a blog and get it more “out there” or an ends in itself (blog posts or articles in exchange for cash.)

At $5 per post, and being able to sell it only once, assuming it takes a good half hour to an hour to write and article if not more – that is $5-10 an hour. Not good for most of us, save the high school or college crowd – then it’s great! So the income here is a bit relative.

Over the past twenty years or so, of reading the morning herald’ i’ve noticed the decline of top quality writers available. Yes there are many, however in the quality and uniformaty bracket’ i see none. Have they all died? Besides the point, i am not a writer’ nor am i deciding to take it up. Just a small tip for the wannabe’s’ if you’re going to do it, be good at it. Consistent rubbish is better than one or two knock outs! Think i’ve change my mind, i may leave my toilet cleaning job at start a real career. Thanks!
